Destroyer follows the moral and existential odyssey of LAPD detective Erin Bell who, as a young cop, was placed undercover with a gang in the California desert with tragic results. When the leader of that gang re-emerges many years later, she must work her way back through the remaining members and into her own history with them to finally reckon with the demons that destroyed her past. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Kidman, who just came off an Emmy win for her acting and producing on the HBO hit  Big Little Lies , Bradley Whitford ( Get Out ), Tatiana Maslany ( Orphan Black )

Idris Elba Joins the Cats Musical Adaptation as the Villainous Macavity Next year, Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Broadway smash, Cats , will be getting a new theatrical adaptation. Now, Idris Elba is reportedly in final negotiations to play a major role in the film. According to Variety , Elba is slated to portray Macavity, the “Napoleon of Crime” in the world of Cats . Macvity plays a villainous role in the play as he pursues his own agenda, and he’s the primary subject of two of the songs. Presumably, Elba will sing during “Macavity Fight,” which is one of the big moments for his character. Elba does have singing experience, and he’s released a few of his own EPs over the last 12 years. Elba’s previous roles include The Dark Tower , the Thor trilogy, and he is currently playing a new villain in  Hobbs & Shaw opposite Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham. Epix’s Pennyworth Batman prequel adds Ryan Fletcher & Hainsley Lloyd Bennett Epix has revealed that Ryan Fletcher ( Shetland , Outlander ) and Hainsley Lloyd Bennett ( Casualty , Eastenders ) will be starring as series regulars in Pennyworth alongside the previously announced Jack Bannon and Ben Aldridge , the series leads. Fletcher will play Dave Boy, a haggard Highland Scotsman who is slowly drinking himself to death since leaving the army. He is a close ally of Alfred and Bazza (Bennett) and also the most unpredictable of the trio. Bazza, who will be portrayed by Bennett, is a posh Bajan playboy who is highly proficient at logistics and a valued member of Alfred’s team. Her decision came following the sudden departure of original co-creator Bryan Fuller, whom Chenoweth is close friends with. BTS sets premiere date for Burn the Stage: The Movie According to Variety , South Korean boy group BTS has officially announced the release date for their first feature film Burn the Stage: The Movie . The concert film is scheduled to premiere next month on November 15 for a limited time only at selected theaters. The tickets will be on sale at the film’s website on October 22. In seismic news for ever-expanding (and highly-successful) Conjuring Universe, Deadline is reporting that Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will reprise their roles as The Warrens in the upcoming third installment in the Annabelle franchise! This will mark the first time paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren have appeared in the spinoffs for newly-filmed footage. While their roles will be supporting ones, it makes sense that Wilson and Farmiga appear in the new Annabelle film as it revolves around The Warrens’ daughter, Judy. The two originated the roles in 2013’s The Conjuring and 2016’s The Conjuring 2 . Wilson will next be seen in James Wan’s Aquaman , Roland Emmerich’s Midway  and Vincenzo Natali’s adaptation of Stephen King and Joe Hill’s horror novel In the Tall Grass .
