BTS sets premiere date for Burn the Stage: The Movie

According to Variety, South Korean boy group BTS has officially announced the release date for their first feature film Burn the Stage: The Movie. The concert film is scheduled to premiere next month on November 15 for a limited time only at selected theaters. The tickets will be on sale at the film’s website on October 22.

Burn the Stage: The Movie was directed by Park Jun Soo. It will be set around the band’s 2017 “Live Trilogy Episode III The Wings” tour which will focus on the band’s international success and is expected to feature behind-the-scenes footage, member’s interviews and live performances from the tour. Their 2017 tour was consists of 40 concerts in 19 different cities across the world that garnered over 550,000 fans in attendance.

BTS, or Bangtan Sonyeondan, is a South Korean boy band formed by Big Hit Entertainment which consists of seven members: Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook. The group recently released a new album titled Love Yourself: Tear which became the first K-Pop album to grab the number one spot on the Billboard 200 album chart.

Due to the huge global following that K-Pop has been gaining over the years, it has successfully made its way to the U.S mainstream. K-Pop groups such as BigBangGirls’ Generation, 2NE1, EXO, BTS and Black Pink are one of the many K-Pop acts that help made South Korean music attained worldwide recognition through their unique music, styles and synchronize dances.
